The sample brief.
Three pages from an independent Competitive Response Brief, readable without an email address or a call.
This is a self-commissioned sample built on dated public advertising evidence for a U.S. premium pet-accessory competitor. It is not a client project, and no brand shown in it is a customer. The buyer-side assumptions are hypothetical and are labeled as such on the pages. Sources checked on September 6, 2026.
How to read it
Every brief distinguishes between what the sources show, what the evidence suggests, and what I recommend testing. A visible ad is not proof of a successful ad, and an observed increase in creative is not proof of increased spend. Where the right answer is to leave the competitor's move alone, the brief says so.
This report provides independent commentary on publicly observable advertising. Observations reflect the stated sources, markets, and collection dates and may be incomplete. Interpretations and recommendations are identified separately from source facts. No competitor performance, spend, targeting, or commercial outcome is asserted unless expressly supported by an identified source. Third-party creative and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders. Their inclusion does not imply affiliation or endorsement and grants no right to reuse the underlying creative.
